Phoenix, AZ- The Health System Alliance of Arizona Executive Director Jennifer Carusetta issued the following statement regarding Governor Doug Ducey’s recent actions to help contain the spread of COVID-19:
“On Monday, Governor Doug Ducey took decisive action in response to the increased spread of COVID-19 across Arizona. We know these are difficult decisions that impact individuals and families, but we are at a critical juncture where we can change the trajectory of this virus. We appreciate the leadership and guidance of Governor Ducey and Dr. Cara Christ as we continue to manage this fluid situation.
“Each day, the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is increasing and community transmission is widespread, placing additional demand on our health care system and frontline workers. We must come together as a community to help slow down the spread of COVID-19. This will not happen immediately, it will take time, but by following the CDC guidelines we can help save lives:
- If you are ill, stay home except to receive medical care
- Wear a mask when you’re in public near others
- Stay six feet away from others
- Wash your hands frequently
- Wipe down surfaces that may be infected
- Avoid gatherings of 10 or more people.”
